February 7th, 2026

Finally started adding artist buttons and my socials. The "OClore" page is back and i've also added a "Comics" page as well. I have a new link to my RSS feed and I find that very exciting. Currently I am posting in two places, site updates here and other life and drawing updates on the feed. I'm kind of torn on whether or not I want to delete these updates and just continue on the RSS feed. Seems silly to post on both.
I am also now connected to the Smallweb Subway created by Gus Becker (link below home page). Thanks again Gus!

January 23rd, 2026

I've made some progress and decided to focus on cleaning up the look and functions of the site instead of customizing all of the fine details. I'm happy to see it back in working order. I've deleted the "Artist" link and "OC Lore" link because I felt it made things look too cluttered. What information that would have been on the "Artist" page will now just be on the main page or the blog page. I will worry about adding lore later on. Until then I am pleased with the small adjustments i've made so far. I like the overall look, it feels cleaner to me. Until then, I will be working on drawing and updating my header and possibly adding some older art to my gallery. Bonus! I now have an RSS feed up and running! More to come!

January 22nd, 2026

As you can see as of this posting date, I have made some errors while trying to update the site. I thought it would be a great idea making changes from my phone but it has been increasingly difficult. Back to my computer so I can fix the changes. Quite honestly I am not sure if I want to keep the current look of the site. I have all of these great ideas for the overall look and I keep changing my mind. Luckily, there is no time frame when this needs to get done. A reminder to myself that this is supposed to be a fun hobby thing for my fun hobby art. Back to the drawing board.

January 11th, 2026

I can't believe it's already 2026. I took a very long pause on the site while life continued to happen. Nothing bad, all good. My son is around 14 months now and is growing very fast. Smart and strong little guy. I'm pretty much writing these entries for myself since not many people know about this place yet. If you happen to be someone that is not me reading this entry then hello! My drawing time has decreased dramatically and so has my gaming. Nobody's fault but mine, because outside of doing chores and keeping up with babies necesscities, I manage my time poorly. Lately I've been thinking about this place again and I thought I'd stop by and type something out. Didn't realize how long it's actually been. Hopefully I stop by again sooner than later!

Keeping positive, I am very slowly making some changes to this site. Understanding hyperlinks and adding them will probably be my first steps, then I will build on from there. Planning to draw up a new header image because the old one of my OC Dorito Dog comes from my twitter header. I no longer go by the name Doodle Daves Magic Pencil so that needs to go. I loved it but it has become too long to keep writing.

It's been over a year since I first started up this website. Now with a growing interest of updating and maintaining it, I plan on spending what little free time I have cleaning it up to my liking. I'm not even sure if I like the style it's currently in but I will push forward for now. I have ideas of adding many personal touches like drawing my own images for buttons, backgrounds, possibly adding music or a music section and sharing my OC's and their stories. I welcome any help that could be given to me along with constructive criticism. I wish to learn more about RSS feeds and blogging so I can share what little I have going on with all of you. Until then, keep on drawing!
